The Mexican-American experience is a unique borderless human connection that crosses time and space.

The Big Idea

A culture explained through its people, with lotería.

The culturally famous Mexican bingo is the crux to exploring the different people who represent the culture.

The Campaign

No Cruzamos la Frontera, The Border Crossed Us is a spec campaign for Topo Chico built on the insight that Mexican-American identity isn't split in two, it's a unique culture born from both. The film opens in 1848 on a woman standing in a grass field as the border moves. It crosses her, a line she speaks in both languages and returns to at the close, her voice carrying the story throughout and becoming part of Topo Chico's own mythology. From there the film moves into the present, using lotería as its structure, each card reimagined as a real person: a charro, a luchador, a musician. Real cultural texture- food, family, tradition, runs through every frame, shot in a mix of English, Spanish, and Spanglish to match how the culture actually speaks. The campaign scales from one flagship anthology film into standalone profile pieces for each card, all carried by the same narrator and the same mythology.
